✦  My story

From a personal blogger to a published poet & creator

Ten years, condensed. The long version is spread across hundreds of articles, two poetry books and an upcoming novel.

For more than nine years, Winnie has worked across storytelling, media, and digital communication, using stories, creativity, and ideas to connect people and inspire meaningful change. Throughout her career, she has come to believe that stories are more than entertainment. They shape perspectives, challenge assumptions, and inspire transformation.

That belief has guided every chapter of her journey.

As an author, Winnie has published two poetry collections, The Lover and Her Human (2021) and Dining With the Enemy (2023), exploring themes of love, healing, identity, and becoming. She is currently writing her first novel, a deeply personal story inspired by her own experiences.

Beyond writing, Winnie believes that meaningful change begins with the individual. Her philosophy is simple: we become people of value so that we can create value for others. Through her writing, conversations, and educational content, She encourages people to embrace intentional growth, discover their purpose, and build lives of character, purpose, and impact.

Winnie is the founder of On Greatness, a personal growth media platform dedicated to exploring the ideas, habits, and conversations that help people become the best versions of themselves. Through articles, videos, podcasts, and reflections, On Greatness equips people to live intentionally, unlock their potential, and pursue lives of meaning.

Whether through storytelling, education, or the work of On Greatness, Winnie is driven by one mission: to inspire people to discover their purpose, realize their potential, and become individuals whose lives leave a lasting impact wherever they go.

✦  Where it all began

It started with a single blog post

She didn’t set out to become a poet, an author or even an entrepreneur. Winnie set out to make a couple of posts during her senior four vacation, mostly to prove to herself that she could write something that wasn’t News to read at the school assembly. The blogging world was all new to her, the audience was nonexistent, and the writing took weeks.

For the first few months she got almost everything wrong: chasing trends, posting whenever she felt like it, and reading every single comment. What eventually worked was boring. A schedule, a niche, and a promise to show up every other day.

That promise turned into a personal site, then a news site, then a book. Her prose and poetry read better now, but the goal hasn’t changed: write something useful, put it out into the world, and help other people do the same or overcome the same.

✦  Good to know

Questions people ask me

The same way everyone does — badly, then consistently. Pick a niche, set a schedule and respect it as you improve one thing each time.

Less than you’d think. The will to start and the promise to keep showing up.

I used Amazon KDP.

Not right now. I will soon update when I’m available again for one-on-one mentoring programs.

Happily, when the calendar allows. I do a few talks and workshops a year on personal growth and creative work. Share the date, the audience, and the format, and I’ll get back to you within a week.
